ACCORDING to CAP, the used car value gurus, there’s never been a better time to sell a used car – especially if it’s in good nick.
This is a genuine win-win situation
Stocking levels are at an all time low as the consequences of the drop in sales during the recession continues to bite.
So dealers are short of stock, and yet demand is strong.
What to do? They can either pick up poorer quality stock at auctions, which they then have to refurbish, or they can encourage you to sell them something better by way of a part exchange.
They’d much prefer the rapid turnover offered by better quality stock, and that’s driving up used car value.
