Low stocks mean savvy businesses can get a good deal for their used company cars – especially if they’re in good condition

ACCORDING to CAP, the used car value gurus, there’s never been a better time to sell a used car – especially if it’s in good nick.

This is a genuine win-win situation

Stocking levels are at an all time low as the consequences of the drop in sales during the recession continues to bite.

So dealers are short of stock, and yet demand is strong.

What to do? They can either pick up poorer quality stock at auctions, which they then have to refurbish, or they can encourage you to sell them something better by way of a part exchange.

They’d much prefer the rapid turnover offered by better quality stock, and that’s driving up used car value.

CAP’s Mike Hind said: “This is a genuine win-win situation for motorists offering well maintained, clean cars to their dealer because both sides are benefitting.
