The quality end of the Top 3 – but you’ll pay more for a VW Polo

Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion

For – good economy, free road tax, quality.

We end our list with the most expensive car here – did you expect anything less from VW?

The Polo BlueMotion offers businesses fantastic economy potential and free road tax, with emissions of only 91g/km – not as good as the Clio above, but the Polo will hold its value better if you’re buying outright as opposed to leasing.

The 1.2 TDI engine in the Polo works in unison with low resistance tyres and streamlined body work to achieve 80.7mpg on a combined cycle according to VW, which is very good indeed.

Although this car only has 75bhp, it’ll still go from 0 – 62mph in 13.9 seconds, and in-gear response is good. The steering is also light and the seats and interior are of a top quality.
