Volvo V60

This recently facelifted estate shouldn’t be dismissed simply because it doesn’t come from one of the big German brands.

Not only does the V60 handle well but it’s got soft suspension and great seats to make those long journeys pass by without too many aches and pains.

This Volvo actually has lower CO2 than any of the offerings from BMW, Audi and Mercedes too, with a D4 version producing just 99g/km.

Jaguar XF Sportbrake

The XF Sportbrake is Jaguar’s entry to the premium estate market and it certainly has a plenty going for it.

With a stylish blacked out C-pillar and sleek new headlights, it’s one of the most eye-catching estates you can buy. Jaguar has also worked hard on the handling so this Sportbrake feels just as agile as the saloon.
