Vauxhall backs its cars with a lifetime cover

IF you like to hang onto your cars for a while, then this might appeal: lifetime cover for your car.

Well Vauxhall has just introduced it for its cars. It marks the most comprehensive warrranty on the new car market.

Currently, Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty is only applicable to first owners, although Vauxhall says it’s considering how to make it available for second owners, too.

Duncan Aldred, managing director of Vauxhall commented: “We are making a strong statement of confidence in the quality of our products and a clear intent to provide the very best customer service in the UK.”

The comprehensive new warranty cover includes powertrain, steering system, brake system and electrical equipment throughout the life of the vehicle.

To maintain the Lifetime Warranty, you will need to visit a Vauxhall retailer annually for a free vehicle inspection

However, there is a catch: the lifetime warranty only lasts 100,000 miles.

Businesses and traders wanting high levels of warranty cover should also consider Hyundai, which has a five-year warranty cover with unlimited mileage; and Kia, which has an even longer warranty period of seven years, but like Vauxhall is limited to 100,000 miles.
