Vauxhall Cascada car review – the convertible that won’t break the bank

Vauxhall’s Cascada has stunning good looks, a distinctly premium feel and four proper seats – yet it’s priced more like a compact soft top. Summer’s still with us – take a closer look.

A genuine 4-seat convertible with a distinctly premium feel, but with numbers that the accountant can’t object to

Business Car Manager verdict

The Vauxhall Cascada is a new age Vauxhall that’s not short on kerb appeal.  This is a strikingly good looking car that gets people talking, a car that sets out to fill an interesting new niche and has been thoughtfully engineered to a high standard.

With Cascada, the quality and style are most definitely there. Because it’s something different (not so many big, volume-badged grand tourers around these days) and numbers on the road will likely be small, that in turn will help build residual value – and the mystique.

True, some business car managers will likely look first to the usual premium badge suspects, but as The Low Down shows, this Vauxhall Cascada with efficient 2.0-litre CDTI diesel on board, does have the business numbers to back up its case.

In the big picture, all credit to Vauxhall for having the courage to try something new and different with the Cascada. If you want to stand out in the corporate car park, this is the car to let you do it.
