The Indian Summer is drawing to a close for convertibles

NOT

Cabriolets have enjoyed an extended run thanks to the Indian Summer, but autumn draws on. There’s only one way for convertible prices to head at this time of year, and that’s down.

One of the worst affected is often the Audi TT Roadster and this year looks like no exception with used values under more pressure than other wind in the hair cars.

Cars in poor condition are affecting the market for all models. There are just too many cars coming straight to the auction halls from part exchange that are in no condition to retail. The gulf between ‘ready to retail’ and ‘poor condition’ has never been greater.

The 4X4 sector – what? Didn’t you just say SUVs were Hot in September? Yes! The SUV sector this month is both Hot and Not. That’s because petrol SUVs are struggling particularly since the export market for these models has gone off the boil.
