“We started our SME project in June last year,” explains James, “with a team of six business development managers working with our 24 business centres. The idea was to increase one-on-one meetings with SME fleet decision makers backed up by a fleet of 50 business car demonstrators.

The important thing for small business owners is to make themselves known as a business customer with their local dealer

“We feel we have a great opportunity with SMEs and our DRIVe models, particularly in 2011.”

Indeed, the latest is the Volvo V70 DRIVe which you can now have with Volvo’s sporty R-Design look, that really does give an edge to their cars.

In fact, only the XC90 seven-seater SUV and C70 coupe cabriolet are without fuel saving and tax-efficient DRIVe models. (You can read more about the new V70 R-Design DRIVe in our news story R-Design package for Volvo estate gives practical the sporting edge.)

However, not all small businesses have as many company cars or business cars. How do they benefit?

“The important thing for small business owners is to make themselves known as a business customer with their local dealer. Our dealers have a special programme that can tailor offers to each enquiry for fleets with fewer than five business cars,” explains James.

So don’t miss out. Whether your business is a micro business and needs maybe just the one car, or a bigger SME with over 25 company cars, then Volvo might just have what you’re looking for.

Especially those low-emission DRIVe models in the sporty R-Design range.
