Big Volvo for small money

VOLVO’S big seven-seater XC90 SUV is now available for L329 a month on contract hire. That’s a lot of car for a very competitive rate.

The deal applies to the Volvo XC90 2.4D5 AWD Active, which means standard seven seats and four-wheel drive, leather steering wheel, rear park assist, and all the safety kit you would expect from a Volvo.

“We were able to put this contract hire offer together partly because the residual values of the XC90 came back by 50% after 4×4 values had fallen off a cliff,” commented John Wallace, Volvo’s national corporate strategy and development manager.

“We wanted a compelling offer for the SME market to exploit what we considered to be latent demand for this car,” continued Mr Wallace, who added that the take up from small businesses had been realised.

“We’ve seen a lot of XC90s done on this deal,” confirmed Mike Lloyd, managing director of car leasing broker company Central Contracts. “During the summer it was available for L299 and proved very popular. It’s now moved the other side of the L300 with price rises, but even at L329 it’s a very good offer.”

The Volvo XC90 is available through Volvo’s financing arm, Business Partner. The payment profile is three rentals in advance followed by a further 35 payments on 10,000 miles a year. The contract hire offer is non maintained, although a maintenance contract can be included for an additional cost.

For business users who prefer to run their cars outside of the company books, the Volvo XC90 is available on the same deal but with the VAT on personal contract hire (PCH) at L387 a month.

The XC90 contract hire offer is available from Volvo dealers or through BVRLA-approved car leasing brokers such as Central Contracts. Further details can be found at www.volvocars.co.uk/XC90promotion
