BMW 640d M Sport Coupe
The interior isn’t new, but it is one of the best in the business

What’s not?

  • Whilst there’s plenty of space in the front of the 6 Series, the rear seats are really only suitable for small passengers or children – legroom is tight!
  • The BMW 640d M Sport Coupe is a great handler, with sharp steering, but the latest M Sport steering wheel has too thicker rim.
  • The 6 Series is a big Coupe and rivals such as the Porsche 911 feel more nimble.

Verdict on the BMW 640d M Sport

The 640d in M Sport Coupe form is an accomplished and fast grand tourer, fitted with a peach of a diesel engine. The facelift changes have been worthwhile, as BMW have wisely left the attractive and distinctive styling alone and instead focused on making this BMW more affordable to run.

Despite its giant-killing performance, the 3.0-litre diesel is still capable of 54.3mpg, while CO2 drops to 147g/km, keeping company car tax figures affordable and leasing costs competitive if you’re a director of an SME and fancy something a little bit special.
