BVRLA
The BVRLA offers customers the seal of approval over the broking industry

WHEN it comes to making the decision on what cars to lease and what company to lease them from, it can be confusing, especially when you are faced with the myriad of online brokers advertising different deals.

Although the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) has now come into play, meaning that less reputable brokers are fast becoming a thing of the past, there is still one defining factor that will make your choice easier.

And that is, quite simply, this: check that your chosen small fleet leasing provider is a member of the BVRLA.

What is the BVRLA?

The BVRLA stands for the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association. It is the UK industry body for automotive leasing and rental. Established in 1967, it boasts over 3.4 million vehicles between its members, and over 50 percent of UK cars, trucks and vans are bought by its members annually.

They also contribute in excess of £14 billion to our economy and employ around 185,000 people.

Why deal with a BVRLA member?

But this is not why you want to deal with a BVRLA member (although it goes without saying that purchasing power is a major plus): the BVRLA have a very strict code of practice.

Mark Day, Director of Vehicle Savers, feels that being a member of the BVRLA is a must when it comes to ensuring that the highest standards are met at all times;

“Being part of the BVRA assures customers that Vehicle Savers takes customer care extremely seriously. Damage issues, mis-selling and other rogue activities are taken very seriously by the BVRLA.

“As such, clients know that they are 100% safe when they choose to deal with Vehicle Savers.

“The BVRLA code of conduct is very clear and our employees are fully trained to make sure that we offer the best service at all times – in addition, our internal procedures are fully geared up to meet requirements.”
