Diesel and estate models join new Mazda6 range

The Mazda6 range has been updated with the introduction of a 146PS 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine.

The diesel engine has up to 50.4mpg fuel economy and CO2 emissions of 147g/km.

The diesel joins the existing three petrol engines available from late 2007 on the all-new Mazda6: a 120PS 1.8; a 147PS 2.0; and a 170PS 2.5 V6.

At the same time an estate version joins the current hatchback and saloon body styles.

The Mazda6 estate features fold-flat seating to increase luggage capacity and an automatic tonneau cover. Maximum load volume is 1751 litres.

A new SL (Sport Luxury) trim joins existing S, TS, TS2 and Sport trims. It features leather seats, heated front seats, 240W BOSE surround sound system, 18-inch alloys, bi-xenon headlamps and front and rear parking sensors.
