VW Golf Alltrack

What not?

  • It may be comfortable, quiet and refined but the Alltrack certainly isn’t cheap. The model we tested costs from £30,595.
  • Rivals from SEAT and Skoda in the shape of the Leon Xperience and Octavia Scout respectively, cost several thousand pounds less and are both mechanically identical to the Golf.

Verdict on the Golf Alltrack

The Alltrack is a welcome addition the Golf estate range. Packaging SUV capability in a neat and stylish estate body is not an achievement that should go unnoticed.

The lesser-powered diesel model will be the pick of the bunch and will keep monthly bills to a minimum, but while the Alltrack may have best-in-class interior fit and finish it’s difficult to ignore the discounted offerings from SEAT and Skoda.
