Honda Civic Hybrid wins green award

The Honda Civic Hybrid is the greenest small family car on sale in Britain.

So says the Environmental Transport Association (ETA) in its Green Car Awards 2008.

The ETA named the best and worst green performers in 10 classes.

Judges looked at more than 1300 cars on sale in Britain Their criteria included power, emissions, fuel efficiency and the amount of noise the car produced.

Other winners included the diesel-powered Jaguar XJ, BMW 520d saloon and BMW 320d saloon.
