HONDA has released the first pictures of its prototype Jazz model for Europe, which will be shown at next month’s Paris Motor Show.
Sleek new bodywork and a longer wheelbase promise a more spacious cabin.
The new Jazz also has the space-saving centrally-located fuel tank featured in the latest Civic and the forthcoming HR-V, plus Honda’s space-efficient folding Magic Seats.
A new 1.3 litre i-VTEC petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual or CVT transmission promises to offer better fuel economy and performance than before, although Honda isn’t releasing any figures yet.
Leon Brannan, Head of Cars at Honda (UK) , said: “The Jazz is a hugely important car for Honda in the UK, and has been a runaway success since its original launch. It has an extremely loyal following, its reliability is legendary. The new Jazz with its sleek, modern design, refined and comfortable ride, will, we are confident, build even more loyal followers.”
The new Honda Jazz will go on sale in mid-2015.
