Skoda sponsors Tour de France
Skoda’s founders used to make bicycles; now Skoda sponsors cycling events all over the world

Skoda has a long association with cycling, dating back to the start of the company in 1895 – when the founders began manufacturing bicycles in their home town of Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic. Now, it provides vehicles to major cycling events across the world.

So why not give the car a miss tomorrow?

Use your bike for a work purpose and you can charge twenty pence per mile – getting fit and cashing in at the same time.

If the journey in hand is a little longer, however, you can use your personal car and benefit from tax free payments of 45 pence per mile for each business mile.

For more on the tax-free business mileage rates, click on our story: Business mileage rates for using a private car (AMAPs).
