New Hyundai Tucson

- 1.7 diesel engine best for company car drivers
HIGHLIGHT of Hyundai’s Geneva Motor Show stand next month is this, the replacement for the popular iX35 SUV, the new Tucson.
The Tucson badge was last seen on the back of a smaller Hyundai SUV in 2008, but as the Tucson is a global car, they felt it needed a global name.
On first look, the new Tucson almost looks like a scaled-down Santa Fe – which is no bad thing. From the front, design highlights include the bold family hexagonal grille and the distinctive headlights with LEDs.

At the side, there’s plenty of surface detailing around the unusual hexagonal arches and down the flanks. Plus it also has an upswept sporty window line.
While the style at the back of Tucson is defined by the large, high-set, boomerang-shaped rear light clusters and small, curvy rear window.
Inside, the interior of the Tucson is dominated by the central infotainment screen, which amongst other things, controls the latest TomTom navigation system. This Hyundai also boasts plenty of soft-touch plastics and equipment, including a power tailgate and Smart Parking Assist System (SPAS).
