Engine choices are extensive and include two petrols, and three diesels:

  • 1.6 GDI petrol with 135PS
  • 1.6 GDI petrol with 176 PS
  • 1.7 diesel 115 PS
  • 2.0 diesel 136 PS
  • 2.0 diesel 184 PS

The 176 PS, 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol engine will also be available with the choice of seven-speed dual-clutch auto or six-speed manual.

The 1.7 litre diesel is likely to be most popular with SME company car drivers and SME directors thanks to its low CO2 emissions.

The new Tucson will go on sale in the second half of 2015 and is sure to build on the one million Hyundai SUV sales in Europe and the 116,000 in the UK alone.
