Over the course of the day, we really grew to like the Jeep Cherokee and yes, that includes the ‘challenging’ styling. It certainly stands out and we didn’t appear to give anyone nightmares.

Curiously, we preferred driving the lesser-powered Cherokee with the manual gearbox, as opposed to the higher-powered car with the automatic transmission. We just felt more in control of the car with the six-speed manual.

Which is high praise indeed. Here is a Jeep that you don’t simply want to stick in Drive and cruise along the highway. The Cherokee is actually rather nice to drive.

It therefore marks a welcome return to the company car arena for the Jeep Cherokee. Thanks to never-seen-before levels of CO2 emissions from a Jeep, it’s worthy of your attention.

Put it this way, when your colleagues ask you what your next company car will be and you respond with “a Jeep”, just how cool does that sound?
