Jeep Renegade 1.6 Multijet 120 Latitude
The cab is full of ‘easter eggs’ – surprise and delight items – which shows the attention to detail Jeep has put in

What’s not?

  • Whilst it might be capable off-road in four-wheel drive form, even this two-wheel drive version has the same firm ride. In fact, in our opinion it’s too firm and verges on the uncomfortable when going over speed humps for example.
  • That quirky shape might attract attention, but you might tire of all the wind noise coming from those large wing mirrors at speed.
  • Is the Jeep brand strong enough in the UK to justify the prices of the Renegade? Our Latitude test car cost £20,295 which despite extra equipment we thought was expensive.

Verdict on the Jeep Renegade 1.6 Multijet 120 Latitude

If you’re bored with more conventional looking rivals and want a spacious, practical SUV with a sense of humour– the Renegade could just be what you’re after. However, this Jeep is strongly priced and the ride verges on the uncomfortable.

Still, with its 120g/km CO2 figure, 20% company car tax band and 61.4 mpg fuel figure, the Renegade could still make real sense for business buyers.
