Land Rover is also offering a special edition to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the introduction of the first Discovery.

The XXV Special Edition gets features such as Grand Black Lacquer wood and a leather-wrapped steering wheel – which can also be ordered for the HSE.

Other Discovery changes are a range of new paint colours and the introduction of smart-phone integration for the Discovery in the form of Land Rover InControl Apps.

The new set-up is compatible with Apple handsets (iPhone 5 and later) and Google Play (for Android version 4.0 upwards).

Prices for 2015 model year Discovery models start at £41,595 for the SE, rising to £59,965 for the HSE luxury. UK deliveries start in September.
