LEX Autolease has given a new Citroen C4 Grand Picasso to BEN, the automotive industry charity which provides support and advice to those in the automotive industry facing life-challenging circumstances.

The vehicle will be used to transport members from BEN’s workplace Day Care Centre in Coventry to hospital and medical appointments, and has been donated as part of the community plan of Lex Autolease, the UK’s leading vehicle management and funding specialist, and BEN’s work with the automotive community.

Lex Autolease has also donated a full service and maintenance package with the vehicle to eliminate ongoing running costs for the charity.

BEN runs five care centres around the country, including the Coventry Day Care centre, offering a range of services from specialist dementia care, to residential nursing and end-of-life care for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their independents.

Nigel Williams, head of business innovation at BEN, said “As a significant stakeholder in the automotive industry it’s fantastic to see Lex Autolease supporting the wider industry.”

As part of its Business Community Scheme, and its Helping Britain to Prosper plan, Lex Autolease has also made donations worth £1,420 to the charity through a number of fundraising events supported by colleagues across its UK offices this year.

Janice Cadden, sales director at Lex Autolease, said: “We recognise the important and valuable work that BEN does and we wanted to give the organisation something useful and reliable. The vehicle will support its members and their families for a long time to come.

“The full service and maintenance package removes some of the administrative burden and costs associated with running a vehicle, and the money saved here can benefit another part of the charity.”
