“Love it or return it” scheme for Vauxhall Ampera

Investing £30k in a relatively unknown quantity like an electric car is an act of faith. Now you can have a Vauxhall Ampera for a month to see if it suits you, and return it if it doesn’t.

“This initiative shows the real world confidence we have in Ampera,” said Vauxhall boss Duncan Aldred “We appreciate that investing in new technology is a big decision which can require a leap of faith for some buyers. It’s therefore vital that we demonstrate our belief in Ampera and provide customer reassurance during the buying process. ‘Love it or Return it’ aims to achieve just that.”

One high profile business car user seems to be convinced; Vauxhall has announced that Britain’s ambassador to Germany, Sir Simon McDonald will be using an Ampera from now on – although it doesn’t say whether he has kept the receipt.
