Lexus GS series: new range-topping V8 model

A new 4.6-litre V8 engine has been introduced to the Lexus GS range.

The V8 produces 342bhp in the new range-topping GS 460 model.

The Lexus GS range receives styling updates and a new range-topping GS 460 model with an eight-speed auto

The new Lexus GS 460 also features a version of the world’s first eight-speed automatic. It is lighter and more fuel-efficient – 25.7mpg fuel economy – than the six-speed transmission previously used on the GS 430.

In addition to the new engine, there are styling revisions across the range, including the hybrid models badged ‘h’.

These include a chrome surround for the front grille, new door mirrors with integrated indicators and new-look door handles. Front and rear bumpers have also been gently restyled.
