ŠKODA has just announced the poshest ever version of the mid-range ŠKODA Octavia, the Laurin & Klement (L&K).
Company car drivers tempted by the L&K’s luxury features will probably go for the tax-friendly 2.0 diesel manual
Among the extra equipment items cosseted Octavia L&K buyers can expect – over and above the already generous Elegance spec – are brown Alcantara and leather upholstery, special L&K cabin logos, stitching and door sill trims, an electrically adjustable driver’s memory seat with lumbar support and heating, illuminated front and rear footwells, adaptive cruise control with Front Assistant, and a special Canton audio system.
Externally, the L&K model sets itself apart from humbler Octavias with eighteen-inch Turbine alloys, bi-xenon headlights, LED rear lights, and chrome window surrounds. Several safety and convenience features are standard too, including lane assist, park assist and cornering front fog lights.
Engine options include a 1.8-litre TSI 180PS petrol and a 2.0-litre TDI 150PS diesel. Transmission choices for both engines are a six-speed manual and a DSG automatic.
