Company car drivers tempted by the L&K’s luxury features will probably go for the tax-friendly 2.0 diesel manual with CO2 emissions of 106g/km and a company car tax rate for this year of 17 per cent. It costs £26,410 – a far cry from the budget roots of the Octavia back in the 1990s – and the range tops out at £28,665 for the diesel 4×4.
