Business Car Manager Verdict:
Renault has created something bold, interesting and different with the latest Twingo, which has the style and personality to mix it with the Fiat 500s of this world as a characterful and chic new city car.
The rear-engine formula is a breath of fresh air in this class yet it perfectly practical, and along with the design instantly puts the Twingo on the map in a way that its nondescript predecessor never managed. Which Twingo to go for? While the SCe 70 model is likely be the best seller, we’d suggest going the extra kilometre for this TCe 90 which has more zest and sharper all round dynamics without breaking the bank.
Still, for all its quirky appeal, the Twingo is not necessarily the best value car out there but running costs will be low and 95-99 g/km for C02 are on the mark.
Yes, it’s a good start for the revamped Twingo which gives Renault a bright new star on the city car catwalk.
