Electric and Plug in concerns
The main concern that many businesses and company car drivers have, are the amount of charging solutions that are available.
Of course, it is usual to charge your EV or plug in hybrid from a home charging point at night, but there are also cost-effective options to have charging points fitted at the workplace.
Work charging points can ease the minds of company car drivers – particularly if they are driving an EV – but because the current government grant doesn’t include free installation at places of work. This again could put some businesses off making the switch to EV or plug in hybrid power.
In addition, one of the main installers of electric charging points is British Gas who now charge £150 for home installation, despite the current government grant.
