Vauxhall Insignia review profile
We’ve already been impressed by the business car credentials of the new Vauxhall Insignia (click on the link to our review below) – and the new diesel promises even more

However, Vauxhall clearly has designs on improving the Insignia’s company car credentials further, saying that not only would there be a 1.6 diesel engine in the Insignia with CO2 emissions close to the low 90g/km mark, but the current 99g/km car would have its emissions reduced further.

Which all sounds like good news for small businesses and company car drivers.

Vauxhall says that it is currently undertaking a 4bn Euro investment in 23 new cars and 13 new engines that will be introduced by 2016 – the same year that Vauxhall managing director, Duncan Aldred, believes Vauxhall will be the number one car selling brand in the UK, toppling Ford.

The current 100% first year tax break for cars with 95g/km CO2 emissions and below runs until April 2015.
