Range Rover Sport
The launch of the the new Range Rover Sport is putting pressure on used values

NOT

MINI values went wobbly – a rare occurrence – mainly, it seems, as a result of Autotrader re-organising its used MINI search criteria. Search results returned loads of models; so potential buyers migrated to the MINI used website for a more granular search.

Audi A3
And the Audi A3 is another car where residuals are suffering following the launch of a new model

The change in search pattern affected non-franchised dealers with a drop in demand; they in turn sold off their stock to minimise any potential losses. Things have begun to stablise now at auction but many MINI hatchbacks have seen falls of 4-5%.

The Range Rover Sport (old model) is under pressure (from a strong position I hasten to add) due to Land Rover’s launch of the new model Range Rover Sport. The price pressure will continue for a little while longer.

Audi’s A3 is another model suffering from the introduction of the new model. The Audi A3’s weakening residual positions is further compounded by returns from the rental market.
