553 – Change in company car advisory fuel rates

Share

9 February 2011

COMPANY car drivers will breathe a sigh of relief: the Advisory Fuel Rates (AFRs) will change, reports HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

HMRC has yet to publish the details, but said it was in light of the increases in average fuel pump prices since 1 December 2010.

Usually the AFRs change twice a year – unless there is a significant swing in prices. So it’s good to see HMRC taking action on this one.
