Glitz, glamour, but underlying concern

Motor shows are always glitzy affairs. Paris was no different.

The big company execs were there launching new products to thumping musical crescendos assisted by beautiful women. It was all very uptempo. But behind the glamour they were privately more cautious.

The banking crisis is causing turmoil with their manufacturing forecasts. With credit drying up potential customers have less opportunity to go and spend it on shiny new cars.
