BENTLEY showcases its ‘refreshed’ Continental GT in the US next week promising that it will be a better BIK bet with CO2 emissions and fuel economy 5% better than its predecessor.
The 2016 Continental GT boasts new exterior design features including adjustments to the front bumper and radiator shell to give a more assertive and confident stance. At the rear the bumper has been reshaped and widened and features full-width chrome ware. The revisions to its looks are completed with the addition of 20” and 21” wheels.
Inside there’s a contemporary straight-fluting pattern adorning the four luxury seats, while the Mulliner Driving Specification, a standard on the GT Speed, gains a tightened, “small-diamond” quilting pattern to echo a country shooting jacket.
The mighty 6.0-litre twin turbo W12 powertrain has received a power and torque hike to 590PS and 720 Nm, to maintain the model’s reputation of effortless performance.
The power upgrade is accompanied by improvements to fuel economy with CO2 emissions of 329 g/km and combined fuel economy of 20 mpg.
