Ralph’s recent Spanish rental car was an Opel version of the Corsa.

I’ve no doubt the new Vauxhall engine – along with the remaining power units – will offer really impressive fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The current Corsa diesel unit offers 88g/km CO2, while the most tax efficient petrol engine offers 120g/km. Expect both of those figures to come down – in the case of the petrol unit, right down.

The combination should make the new Vauxhall Corsa not only great for learner drivers and car rental companies, but it should give small businesses and SME company car fleets greater choice for their staff – and at a lower benefit in kind company car tax rate.
