Hitachi charity van gift a fitting gesture

  • Fully-refurbished Ford Transit donated to Re-Use Community Project in Milton Keynes
  • Donation made on the ITV show Surprise Surprise
  • Vehicle will enable the local project to collect and deliver donated goods

HITACHI Capital Vehicle Solutions fully embraced the festive spirit by donating a refurbished Ford Transit Luton Van to a local charity project, the Re-Use Community Project.

The Re-Use Community Project raises money for a number of charities giving new life to old goods through the resale of household items and clothing donated by residents of Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

The project actively encourages residents to donate items that would otherwise be thrown out for the Re-Use Community Project to sell on or to recycle.

But it needed reliable transport to collect and deliver the goods and this is where the Hitachi van surprise came up trumps, appropriately with a fully refurbished 2011 Ford Transit 350 long wheelbase, high roof van, prepared by the Vehicle Preparation Centre team at Hitachi Capital’s Trowbridge campus.

Hitachi Capital were inspired by the project after being approached by the ITV show Surprise Surprise.
