Jaguar’s BMW rival aims for business buyers

Jaguar has unveiled its all-new XF saloon.

The XF replaces the current S-Type model.

It will first be shown at the Frankfurt Show in Germany this September.

It then goes on sale next year for the March

JAGUAR has unveiled its all-new XF saloon.

The Jaguar XF replaces the current S-Type model.

It will first be shown at the Frankfurt Show in Germany this September.

The Jaguar XF then goes on sale next year for the March registration change.

There will be four engine choices: a 2.7-litre V6 diesel; a 3.0-litre V6 petrol; a 4.2-litre V8 petrol; and a 4.2-litre V8 supercharged petrol.

There will be two trim levels: Luxury and Premium Luxury.

The new car promises to be economical on its running costs. Residual values will be better than an Audi A6 or BMW M5, according to industry forecasting experts.

Over 36 months/36,000 miles CAP Motor Research suggests the 2.7-litre Luxury model will retain 50.7% of its value. EurotaxGlass’s suggests 50% for the same model.

The diesel Jaguar XF has CO2 emissions of 199g/km. This places it in the 30% company car tax bracket for 2008/09. And also under London’s newly proposed high-level emission congestion charge.
