Nissan Qashqai gets extra row of seats

The Nissan Qashqai model range – the family-sized hatchback-cum-SUV – is growing with the launch of the Qashqai+2.

The new Nissan Qashqai+2 will be revealed at the London Motor Show in July.

It features an extra row of seats in the rear, mainly for use by children. When not in use they can be folded flat to increase luggage space.

The wheelbase has been extended by 135mm while the overall length has increased by 211m to 4526mm over the five-seat version.

To ensure enough headroom in the third set of seats, the roofline has been lengthened and re-profiled at the rear of the vehicle.

Standard features on the new Nissan Qashqai+2 will be a panoramic glass roof to give the interior a light and airy feel, roof rails and darkened privacy glass.

There will be the choice of four engines for the Nissan Qashqai+2, the option of both two- and four-wheel drive models, and three levels of trim. The new Qashqai+2 goes on sale in October.
