Nearly half of SEAT cars go into fleet channels

“The Leon as a vehicle is a multi-award winner, but not only are we talking about the Leon, SEAT has recently won an award for its dealer network.

According to Expert Eye, SEAT was the top brand for Fleet Dealer Network and that was announced in the last couple of weeks. So, that’s a great accolade and a great sign of confidence in the brand and product.

Out of the 53,000 cars we delivered last year, over 22,000 of them went into the fleet channels.

Fleet is big business and we have to get it right in terms of still managing the dealer network and their opportunity and then when you go into the fleet channels, is to make sure we’re not too expensive. We’re mindful of where we are.”

  1. Emergency services

For emergency services that require off-road capability, the Leon X-PERIENCE could be ideal. So we’ve been in touch with rapid response, it is the kind of channel that requires high-ish ground clearance, powerful-ish engines and this car fits well with their requirements.

We’re discussing with a number of partners to see if we can make the changes they need at the factory, or whether we need to talk to a conversion company, as we’re looking to offer a particular specification package for them. Although this is still a long way off – it’s something we’re looking into.

We’re also looking at the possibility of the Leon Cupra being used as an unmarked police pursuit car.”
