Toyota’s new MINI rival

The ingenious Toyota iQ city car will cost from L9495 when it goes on sale in January.

Measuring under 3m in length, the Toytoa iQ is designed to carry up to four people.

The Toyota iQ is powered by a 1.0-litre engine that produces 99g/km. It means the iQ will qualify for the low-emission 10% company car tax band. And 100% first year writing down allowance.

There will be two trim levels: iQ and iQ2.

While the iQ is small, the standard equipment list is big. iQ spec includes 15-inch alloy wheels; heated electrically adjustable door mirrors; air con; and six speaker audio with auxiliary socket.

Standard safety features are: anti-lock ABS brakes; anti-skid stability control; and nine airbags
