WINTER sales start early at Vauxhall with the announcement that its all-new Astra enters UK showrooms in October up to £2,200 cheaper than the old model!
The new model, built at Vauxhall’s manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, is part of a simplified range which includes Design, Tech Line, Energy, SRi and Elite, with Nav versions of the SRi and Elite trims also available.
Entry level Design trim enjoys standard features including:
- 16-inch alloy wheels;
- LED daytime running lights, 6 airbags;
- Air conditioning;
- R4.0 IntelliLink audio system with digital radio;
- 7-inch colour touchscreen, USB & AUX;
- Bluetooth connectivity, multi-function trip computer;
- Cruise control and steering wheel controls;
- Electrically operated front and rear windows.
For the BIK conscious company car driver the star tax turn will the 1.6-litre 110PS ‘Whisper Diesel’ Start/Stop ecoFLEX model, priced from £17,495 on-the-road, that achieves 91.1mpg and class-leading CO2 emissions of 82g/km.
For urban users the petrol choice to tick the boxes will be the 1.0-litre three-cylinder Turbo Start/Stop ecoFLEX model priced from £15,995 on-the-road. With an Easytronic five-speed automatic transmission, the same model achieves a class-leading 96g/km CO2 emissions.
A range-topping 1.6-litre, boasting a healthy 200PS, will be available in SRi trim priced from £20,435 on-the-road.
