New six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes will also be available.
Inside the cabin, there’s a new instrument panel and the IntelliLink system first seen in the Vauxhall Adam.
IntelliLink, which works with both Apple and Android phones, is operated via a seven-inch colour touchscreen, providing access to apps such as BringGo (navigation), Stitcher and TuneIn (for global radio stations and podcasts).
Finally, Vauxhall has taken advantage of the model change-over to introduce a host of new safety and convenience features, including Hill Start Assist, Automatic Park Assist, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Side Blindspot Alert, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, bi-xenon lights and a rear-view camera.
Further details of the new fourth-generation Corsa, including prices, will be released later in the year.
