Volvo V60 D5
In every way, the V60 in this guise is a solid business car choice – practicality, quality, and running costs

Business Car Manager verdict

The Volvo V60, on the market since late 2010, has clearly evolved well and still comes across as a stylish, solidly engineered alternative to the default German brands in this class. Yes, it still turns heads.

The key with this D4 163PS oil burner is that, as Volvo’s figures tell it, it has just the kind of economy and CO2 numbers to compare with the 1.6-litre D2, which would automatically seem to be the most business-friendly offering in the V60 camp, while adding five cylinder sparkle and more pep in the performance department. So for a hard-headed business car manager, it all starts to add up.

All round, that’s quite an enticing combination and if, in truth, this V60 is not the sportiest drive in the world, the car’s other (high) qualities more than compensate.
