“On top of the new JCW, we’ve got the new Clubman estate to look forward to. The last Clubman ceased production last year and it had a great following with buyers, but with the next one we’re looking at how we can take the idea of the Clubman and combine it with more practical aspects. So, almost a MINI that you could use as a first car in a household, because many MINI three and five-door hatches are still second or third cars. “
“The two biggest segments are the B-segment and the C-segment. We are very much on course in the B-Segment, with the hatch and convertible and of course we are looking very closely at what is happening in the C-Segment and this potentially where the new Clubman is going.”
“Corporate as a business is very much about having five-doors; we’ve been very pleased in terms of its performance and how it has been received. For a brand with the heritage we have, it’s always a stretch to go away from the three-door hatch. So we’re watching with interest how our bigger product is received and we see in both corporate and retail, that we’re still selling more three-doors, but the share of five-doors is getting bigger.”
