HERE’S AN easier way to keep tabs on your remote sales staff – two devices from TomTom WORK (the business division of the satnav makers).
There’s the ‘Remote LINK Working Time’ device, which enables businesses to track the hours of every employee who is working away from the office. And the ‘Remote LINK Logbook’, which keeps an accurate record of mileage clocked up on a company car whether work-related or personal usage.
“The TomTom LINK system makes it easy for business car managers to track and trace their company cars,” said Thomas Schmidt, managing director TomTom WORK. “By adding these new Remote LINK devices, managers can gather valuable data about their employees’ working hours and mileage – data they can use to boost productivity, increase efficiency and save money.”
TomTom WORK says Remote LINK allows staff to ditch manual timesheets, while also making it easier for your company car drivers to record whether journies are private or business.
Individual and group mileage can be monitored by day, week, month or year. Data can then be integrated with payroll and billing systems for smarter payments. Both of these remote control products can also save considerable costs by reducing administration.
The Remote LINK Working Time and Remote LINK Logbook will be available from late spring. The recommended price is £69 for each device and £35 for ten ID keys to use with the Working Time device.
