“There will be the same pallet of options available as for the rest of the range, but the Clubman will be marketed very much as a stand-alone model. It is very, very different. The F56 and F55 have a lot of commonality, but Clubman is all out on its own. To look at in terms of the customers that will be drawn to it and even its driving dynamics, it will be quite different as well.

“R55 to R56 was quite a marketing difference and you will see the same for the new car, it will appeal to quite different buyers than the hatch.”

So the next Clubman looks like it will be another interesting addition to the range and we’ll not have to wait long until the finished car. The covers will come off in June, with the launch in September. We can’t wait.
