New Ridgeback range of hardtops has been designed for fleets and commercial vehicle operators requiring large volume hardtop for their pick-ups but without the additional height that usually accompanies such a design.

Pick ups: large volume new Ridgeback hardtop

Hard-top covers for pick ups offer volume without the high roofline

IF YOU have several pick ups running on your business, then this could be useful: UK-based Storm Xccessories have recently launched the first in a new range of hardtops for pick-ups.

The makers say that the Ridgeback range is aimed at fleet and commercial vehicle operators that require a high volume capacity of over 3.1cu m without the inconvenience of a high roofline. This is achieved by extending the roof over the cab, thereby utilising the full length of the load area. This design keeps the overall vehicle height below 1.95m which allows the vehicle to enter the majority of urban car parks.

Manufactured entirely in the UK in an Achilles-approved manufacturing facility, the Ridgeback hardtop has a wide range of extras, including large side opening doors, ventilation systems, flock interior lining, auxiliary and emergency lighting. The Ridgeback is also available with a selection of load carrying systems, with capacity up to 150Kgs across the length of its roof.

The composite GRP rear door is available with or without tinted, toughened glass. It features a corrosion-proof slam lock handle for additional security.

Ridgeback has been designed and developed by Mark Muschamp, former owner of Truckman. “My experience with fleet operators over this period has been the inspiration for the design of the Ridgeback,” commented Mr Muschamp.

Ridgeback is available directly from Storm Xccessories.
