“The new XC90 has standard connectivity, right from simple things like talking to your local dealer when it’s time for a service and booking it in for you. Then the week before, it will remind you of the booking.

“When the car arrives on the dealer’s forecourt, it automatically connects to the dealer’s wifi and it already starts downloading the fault codes, so by the time the technician is looking at the job card he or she already has a suite of data from that car.

“The new XC90 will automatically adapt depending on whether you’ve got an Android or Apple phone, so it’s not one or the other it’s both.”

“As new apps such as one for parking becomes available, it will be included in an automatic refresh of the software done at the dealer, as part of the annual servicing package.
