“The new XC90 is very well specified, but we’ve chosen to keep things simple with seven seats, navigation, keyless go and hands-free tailgate all as standard. In many other European markets these would be expensive options.

“The only upgrade to the infotainment system is the optional Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

“If you look at the current car and you take the SE Nav model, which is closest equivalent to the new entry-level Momentum trim, the price walk is only just over £3,000. Although we estimate there’s almost £8,000 of extra value going in over the old model.”
