Kia optima
Aimed squarely at the Ford Mondeo, the new Kia Optima has had a growth spurt and is now marginally longer, wider and taller than it predecessor.
As well as being bigger, the Optima now uses high-strength steel on more than 50% of the body meaning it’s also a lot safer, too. UK buyers will be treated to diesel, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options, with a focus on boosting efficiency.
Kia as also turned its attention to the interior, with plusher materials and switchgear being fitted to the new model. A larger infotainment system now rests in the centre of the leather-trimmed dash.
