Spring launch for new Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet

THE winter months are coming to a close and spring is on the way. And surprise, surprise, there’s a brand new coupe-cabriolet on its way to entice you with the allure of open top motoring.

The car in question is the new Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet which promises to offer unruffled open-top motoring thanks to a fixed glass wind deflector positioned behind the rear head restraints.

The Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet features a standard folding glass hard roof to ensure a brightly lit cabin and a sensation of space and freedom when it’s in the closed position.

The two-part roof is fully-automatic, and can be lowered in 21 seconds by pressing a button to access fresh-air motoring.

There will be a range of seven engines. These include:

  • A 1.6 16V 110hp petrol with six-speed manual gearbox
  • A TCe 130 turbo petrol with a six-speed manual gearbox
  • A 2.0 16V 140hp petrol with stepless CVT auto
  • A dCi 110 DPF diesel with six speed manual or new dual clutch auto (EDC)
  • A dCi 130 DPF diesel with a six-speed manual gearbox
  • A dCi 160 DPF diesel with a six-speed manual gearbox

The new Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet will be shown at the early March Geneva Motor Show before going on sale in the spring.
