IF YOU want to drive down your business car costs with exceptional value and the back-up of a long warranty, then Hyundai could be the answer.

The company with the five-year/unlimited mileage warranty is launching what the company describes as a spacious MPV supermini – all wrapped up in Hyundai’s new design language first seen on the Hyundai ix35.

The Hyundai ix20 will launch in mid November, and will be available with the choice of manual 1.4 petrol or diesel CRDi engines. Both units include fuel-saving start-stop technology that will also benefit company car drivers with lower benefit-in-kind. The ix20 1.4 CRDi promises emissions as low as 114g/km – equivalent to a company car tax banding of 13% for the 2010-11 tax year. A 1.6 petrol automatic engine will also be available.

Hyundai is also launching a revised version of the i10 city car, which includes a new 1.0-litre engine with CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km – which qualifies it for 100% first-year writing down allowances to aid business cash flow. The new Hyundai i10 will go on sale early in 2011.
